Help a child. Change the world.

Miracle Day

CIBC Miracle Day is a proud tradition that has helped to improve the lives of millions of children since it began in 1984. Since its inception, CIBC Miracle Day has raised over $100 million for children's charities across Canada and $250 million globally.

CIBC Miracle Day

Every year, committed CIBC employees and their clients help make miracles happen for kids in need on CIBC Miracle Day.

Bottom line, Miracle Day is to give these kids the same chance that my kids have and your kids have. The name of our business is feeding kids, to make sure that every kid has an equal playing field to be able to concentrate and to learn.

I think the value of Miracle Day for our firm is that it helps define our role in the community.

CIBC Miracle Day is an employee driven fund raiser that started at a Wood Gundy branch in 1984. Every year on the first Wednesday in December, CIBC's wholesale banking employees and participating CIBC Wood Gundy Investment Advisors donate their fees and commissions to help kids in need.

To make the difference locally is a huge issue for us and for our clients.

Miracle Funding supports over 450 children's charities across Canada, like the Holland Clearview Children's Rehabilitation Hospital. The CIBC Therapeutic Playroom is a non-medical environment within the hospital where children come to learn and grow through play.

The CIBC playroom let me have relief. The families and children that we are so grateful. CIBC Miracle Day funding helps alleviate the impact of poverty in more than 125 communities across Canada. Together, we help keep kids in school, support mentoring and leadership programs, provide nutritious food and healthy activities, keep kids safe and fund innovative therapy for kids with disabilities.

Being connected to organizations that benefit from Miracle Day is a highlight of my job. It's like I get to choose what I do and I can do art or I can play basketball in a gym.

Breaks your heart that these kids are disadvantaged. So any time you get an opportunity to step up and help, you want to be involved.

Makes me feel like I'm making a big difference. It's important as a corporate citizen to give back to the community. It makes me proud to work at CIBC.

It's been very successful. Raised 60 million dollars for all those years. It is the right to do.

Every trade CIBC makes on Miracle Day could help make a miracle happen. Get involved. Spread the word.

We care about nurturing and educating Canada's children and young adults so they can build a better future.

At BPS Wealth Management, we strive to make a special effort to help those families in our community who are less fortunate than ourselves. We are heavily involved with some important and worthwhile charities and each year our team makes significant donations to CIBC Miracle Day, the Boston Pizza Foundation and Social Venture Partners Vancouver. Our charities benefit in many ways including: helping children in the less fortunate neighborhoods close to the downtown core, empowering youth to make positive life choices about drug use and criminal behavior, and feeding 750 children a hot breakfast daily in the inner city schools.

  • Miracle Day is a CIBC national initiative that sends funds to worthy causes for the benefit of children. Our branch contributions support the following local children’s charities: Big Brothers and Sisters of Greater Vancouver, Family Services of Greater Vancouver’s R.S.V.P. Program, Kidsafe, Kids Up Front, and The Odd Squad.

  • The Boston Pizza Foundation (BPF) raises funds that contribute to the health and well-being of at-risk children. To date, the Boston Pizza Foundation has raised and donated over $20 million to charities in communities across Canada and around the world.

  • Social Venture Partners Vancouver is a group of entrepreneurs, business professionals, volunteers, parents, community leaders, and engaged philanthropists – a global network of local partners connecting passion and purpose.

  • 30th Annual Youth Soccer Camp BPS Wealth Management of CIBC Wood Gundy commits $75,000 over three years to help over 300 downtown Vancouver East kids with summer camp and soccer equipment. This allows youth to participate, belong, play, develop positive habits, lead, and help learn the value of teamwork right here at home.
